It’s been an amazing Summer! Forget the weather, because I’ve had a truly ‘immersive time’, diving headfirst into the world of sports, outdoor activities, and quality time with family. From the enthralling Ashes Series, where the England cricket team showcased their dazzling ‘Baz Ball’ tactics against the Aussies, to the unforgettable men’s final at Wimbledon that had us all on the edge of our seats. My summer has been interspersed with friendly matches of summer hockey and golf with the lively crew from Warwick Hockey Club. Cycling through picturesque Warwickshire trails, indulging in strengthening workouts every week, and even trying my hand at clay pigeon shooting on the side of Edgehill and fly fishing on the River Monnow.
Not to mention the laughter-filled evening of pétanque at The Burnt Post in Coventry with Leamington 41 Club pals, as well as the refreshing getaways to the New Forest, to reconnect with family and unwind amidst nature’s beauty. A delightful blend of adventure and relaxation – a true immersion into the spirit of Summer.
