When stars collide

A few weeks ago, quite by accident, I instigated the moment when two stars collided – it was like when Lewis met Hamilton!

The first star is up and coming, still cutting his teeth, still making his name.

His coach, Edwin Cleary who trains him in his Leamington Spa based gym suggests,

“He’s the future of heavyweight boxing”.

He weighs in at a trim 91kgs and is a towering 6ft 6ins in height. His name is Lewis Williams, a Team GB Heavyweight Boxer, who will be competing later this year for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Heavyweight Boxing Gold Medal. That’s the plan and trajectory of this star.

The second star is a company called – Corinthian Sports – a leading sports corporate hospitality and events provider, based in London. They are the people who provide the most sublime opportunities for those who wish to go and experience and indulge themselves, watching their favourite global sporting super stars at the best sporting events around the globe. For example – Sir Lewis Hamilton MBE driving around the sovereign city-state of Monaco in an F1 Grand Prix.

Just recently they were looking for a novel way to send out tickets to their clients attending the Autumn Internationals and the Guinness Six Nations Rugby Championship which kicks off later today.

Suitably entitled – “Have A Beer On Us!”Moo Design created a premium branded ticket presentation box which contained the following refreshments: three canned craft beers, an engraved beer glass to drink them out of, along with three premium snacks and a ‘snug place’ for the all-important ticket to sit in. The boxes are then delivered to each recipient as a ‘gratitude and precursor’ to the main ‘sporting corporate hospitality day out’.

Natalie Darlison, Head of Marketing at Corinthian Sports enthused:

“Everyone was extremely impressed with the boxes.

They look fantastic!”

The two stars collided at the offices of Wright Hassall in Leamington Spa.

Lewis Williams very kindly accepted our invitation to attend the photo shoot to launch this year’s Wright Hassall Regency 10K race. An event that Leamington Round Table have organised for the past 18 years which raises monies for the local community and needy causes in the town.

After the shoot Lewis kindly agreed to endorse both versions of the Corinthian Sports Boxes, and the stars aligned! (see above)
