MEET THE ARTIST

NICK HERD

Born in Woking in January 1968, Nick steered himself away from the family hotel to pursue a career in art. As a boy, he loved reading Tintin, Richard Scarry and Roald Dahl books and collecting Guillermo Mordillo cartoons.

His first steps on the art ladder were taken at Kingston Polytechnic, where he successfully completed a Foundation Course. From there, he was ‘sent to Coventry’ and graduated three years later with a ‘first’ in Graphic Design and Communication.

His first job as a graphic designer was at Taylor Gardner Associates in 1992, working on Thomson Holidays and Virgin Trains accounts. From there, he gained valuable experience in four other design jobs before setting up Moo Design in 2001 to present (his successful design agency based in Leamington Spa. Nick has developed a ‘Follow The Herd’ range of Moo Milk Bottle Art, which is partly derived from his ethos to offer all his clients ‘the cream of creative ideas and design solutions’ and present them with ‘gold top service from brief to delivery’, as he explained recently to Annie Other live on the BBC!

He’s all frothed up, producing freshly churned, creative, inspiring imagery and… delivering it in unique gold-topped, handcrafted milk bottle frames which will look ‘Best in Show’ on your wall!

The first three limited edition digital media prints – ‘How Now Brown Cow’, ‘Credit Crunch’, and ‘Peppered Beef’ is the beginning of a planned series of Moo Milk Bottle Art, which mootated in 2010! Go to: http://www.moodesignagency.co.uk/index.php?id=18

TopCarArt.com

In 2011, Nick launched topcarart.com. In this venture, Nick has developed a stunning range of vibrant Car Pop Art images from a range of ‘off the shelf’ and private owner photos of classic cars, modern supercars, cool cars and cult cars, which are then reproduced as originals and limited edition artist proof framed prints and boxed canvases. These ‘off-the-shelf images’ are growing by the day, with 100+ to date.

If you’re into your cars then take a look at his thoroughbred range of stock, which will look stunning as a piece of pop art hung in your house or office environment.
